Truck Body Builders...No not the human type that lift weights and work out every day to build those muscles, but the Companies that design and build the Commercial Truck Bodies that are part of the muscle that Commercial Truck buyers depend on day in and day out.

Who are these Companies who call themselves Truck Body Builders, where are they located and what type of bodies do they make?

There are probably more Truck Body manufactures and Truck Up fitters than I could even begin to mention. They range from the smaller Companies who install the items that make a Chevy Truck look fancy such as bullet grills, special running boards, graphics, and even tires and wheels to the larger Companies who build everything from stake beds and utility bodies to aerial boom trucks and dump trucks.

Some of these Truck Body Building Companies have affiliations with General Motors and are called "Pool Stocking Companies".

What that means in lay mans terms is that these companies have been selected by General Motors as companies who order and stock General Motors Trucks and make them available for sale to General Motors Dealers with one of their bodies installed on that truck.

These Truck Body Builder Companies are a benefit to General Motors Dealers because a Dealer doesn't have to stock extra trucks in inventory ready to sell, and because he can work out of the Pool Stocking Company's inventory which saves the Dealer on flooring interest charges.
